The new generation in the MENA region has access to this new invention that lets them see and learn about anything they want. It’s called the internet, and might be making an even bigger impact on their societies than it is on yours. Even more of them – like the bedouins and refugees who live in tents – have satellite dishes, even if they don’t have running water.

But what are they seeing? What’s available in their language? Is it educating them, or just corrupting them? Most importantly, is it bringing them closer to Christ?

Now is the time to pour Jesus into the media – in their languages, in powerful, relevant, and biblically faithful ways – displaying God’s manifold wisdom, beauty, truth, and salvation for all to see and have a chance to grasp.

Previous generations didn’t have these opportunities to know about Christ. But this generation has an information overload. Let’s make Jesus heard above all the noise!

“What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.” (Matthew 10:27)

It’s exciting to see this verse somehow prophetically fulfilled – through satellite dishes and internet receivers, literally on the housetops.
